Eight Houston Dynamo players named to fan ballot for 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game

Major League Soccer unveiled the fan ballot today for the 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game, including eight representatives from the Houston Dynamo nominated by media.

The group of Dynamo players eligible for the fan vote are:
• Goalkeeper Tyler Deric
• Defenders DaMarcus Beasley and Raúl Rodríguez
• Midfielders Ricardo Clark, Brad Davis and Boniek Garcia
• Forwards Giles Barnes and Will Bruin

Voting is open now through 2 p.m. CT on July 3 via MLSsoccer.com, social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), and EA Sports FIFA 15. Eleven total players – one goalkeeper, three defenders, four midfielders and three forwards – with the highest combined votes will be named to the All-Star Fan XI.

In addition to online voting at MLSsoccer.com, fans can also vote through social media by mentioning an eligible player's first and last name along with the hashtag #MLSAllStar on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Users may only vote for one player per post and votes are limited to one per account each day for up to 10 different players.

One forward on the All-Star Fan XI will be determined by the AT&T/EA SPORTS™ "More Than a Vote" Challenge. Each goal scored with an eligible forward in EA SPORTS FIFA 15 on Xbox One, Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system will earn one vote.

The 2015 MLS All-Stars will face Tottenham Hotspur of the Barclays Premier League at 8 p.m. CT on July 29 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado. All-Star head coach Pablo Mastroeni of the Colorado Rapids will choose the game day roster and the starting lineup for the match, broadcast live on FOX Sports 1 and UniMas.

Five Dynamo players – Barnes, Bruin, Deric, Garia and Rodriguez – are seeking their first MLS All-Star Game selection. Davis is a six-time MLS All-Star selection, while Beasley is a three-time honoree (2001-03) and Clark (2007) is seeking his second All-Star nod.

A total of 32 All-Stars are named each year, per the collective bargaining agreement. Media, fans, players, the All-Star coach and MLS Commissioner Don Garber all contribute in the All-Star selection process.
