All six Dash players appeared for their respective nations in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Round of 16, and all six advanced to the quarterfinal round this weekend.

Canada

Erin McLeod, Allysha Chapman and Lauren Sesselmann all started and played the full 90 minutes in a tense 1-0 win over Switzerland behind a fantastic strike from Josée Bélanger. McLeod was her usual self, coming up with a huge save in the 78th minute and being named the player of the match. Oh, and she also got a postgame congratulations from "a fan."

The Canucks move on to face England on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. CT on FOX Sports 1.

United States

Carli Lloyd buried a penalty in the 66th minute to complement Alex Morgan's opening goal as the U.S. took down 10-woman Colombia on Monday night. Meghan Klingenberg played another solid 90 minutes on a back line that hasn't allowed a goal in 333 consecutive minutes. Morgan Brian entered as a substitute in the 69th minute, perhaps preparing for a quarterfinal start after Lauren Holiday picked up her second yellow card of the tournament and a one-game suspension.

The United States has a quick turnaround, flying from Edmonton to Ottawa for a Friday night matchup against China on FOX at 6:30 p.m. CT. As always for U.S. and Canada matches throughout the World Cup, we'll be hosting our official watch party at The Phoenix on Westheimer. See you there!
