SCOUTING WESTERN NEW YORK
The Western New York Flash sit just one point ahead of the Dash in the NWSL standings heading into Saturday’s match. The Flash are led by rookie Sam Mewis and forward Lynn Williams, both of whom have three goals and three assists on the year. Former Dash midfielder also has three assists on the season. Western New York have recently acquired international forwards Lady Andrade (Colombia) and Michelle Heyman (Australia), the latter of whom scored on her NWSL debut last Sunday and earned NWSL Player of the Week honors. The Dash are familiar with Heyman, who trained with the team for a period last summer.

DASH FINISH TWO-GAME ROAD SWING
The Dash are coming off a 1-1 draw on the road against FC Kansas City and now face their second road match in short order against Western New York. The three game stretch including next Wednesday's home date against FCKC gives the team multiple cracks at clubs directly above them in the standings. Western New York currently is just a point above the Dash, and Kansas CIty sits four points ahead in the fourth and final playoff spot.
