The Mexico Women’s National Team has announced its roster for the 2016 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship, which includes Houston Dash goalkeeper Bianca Henninger.

“I’m extremely happy for Bianca. She is clearly one of the top goalkeepers in the NWSL and this international experience will only help her even more in her development,” Dash head coach Randy Waldrum said. “More importantly, she will strengthen the Mexican National Team as she has the experience they have been looking for. It’s a win-win situation for both the Dash and Mexico.”

Henninger, 25, joined the Mexico team for the first time in November 2015, but has yet to make an appearance. She represented the U.S. Youth National Team from the U-16 level through the U-23 level. In 2012, Henninger was a member of the Four Nations Tournament-winning U-23 team. She was named the U.S. Soccer Young Female Athlete of the Year in 2010 and represented the U.S. at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The Santa Clara University alumna appeared in 10 matches (nine starts) and recorded four shutouts for the Dash last season. She posted back-to-back shutouts in 2015, the first consecutive shutouts in club history. She earned the NWSL Player of the Week award for her performance against the Portland Thorns on May 23, a 1-0 Dash victory. The Los Gatos, California native was acquired by the Dash in a trade with FC Kansas City in January 2014.
