Jamaica's Copa América Centenario came to an end on Monday night as they lost 3-0 to Uruguay at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Both teams entered the match playing for pride, having already been eliminated from the knockout stages with two losses each.

Uruguay, who has won at least one match in every Copa América tournament, started the scoring in the 21st minute as Abel Hernández beat Andre Blake to the end of Nicolás Lodeiro through ball and neatly finished past the Jamaican keeper. Lodeiro was again involved in the second goal, as his cross deflected off Je-Vaughn Watson and into the back of the net for an own goal in the 66th minute. Uruguay finished things off in the 88th minute as Mathías Carujo took advantage of a misplayed ball and struck a hard shot past Blake.

Dynamo captain Giles Barnes started and played the full 90 minutes for the third time in the tournament, going scoreless along with the rest of the Reggae Boyz. Barnes will return to Houston on Tuesday, where the technical staff will determine his availability for the team's Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Fourth Round match against San Antonio FC on Wednesday night.
