Houston Dynamo forward Erick "Cubo" Torres scored for the Mexico U-23 squad against Club America in a 4-1 win as the team continues its preparations for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Torres converted a penalty in the 44th minute, then subbed off as part of a host of halftime substitutions.
Torres and the U-23s will next face Pumas at the Centro de Alto Rendimiento (CAR) in Mexico City.
Decisions on the final roster for Mexico's Olympic team have not been made yet, so Torres told media that the players are leaving everything on the field for head coach Raul Gutierrez to be selected to represent their nation.
