On a hot Sunday night in Houston, the Dynamo and San Jose Earthquakes played to a stalemate with goals coming from Alex and Chris Wondolowski.
Alex opened the scoring in first half stoppage time, weaving through the Quakes defense before curling a ball past David Bingham.
But they would not get their fifth win of the season because of Wondolowski. The former Dynamo striker got in between the Houston defense to one time a Cordell Cato cross. The goal was Wondoloski's ninth of the season and San Jose are now unbeaten in their last three games.
