2017_nsd

Six players from the Houston Dynamo Academy U-18s signed Letters of Intent on National Signing Day today.

Goalkeeper Andrew Morrison committed to the University of Washington. The Huskies lost to College Cup semifinalist Denver University in the third round of the NCAA tournament in 2016, and finished 12th in the final Division I NSCAA Coaches Poll.

Midfielder Gabriel Ruiz and defender Alex Acton are also headed to Seattle, having signed LOI's for Seattle University.

Midfielder Gianluca Natera will be conference mates with Ruiz and Acton in the Western Athletic Conference but is staying close to home by signing with Houston Baptist University. Natera will play alongside fellow Academy product Josue Palomino at HBU.

Defender Luis Garza is also headed to the WAC with the University of the Incarnate Word, where he joins Academy graduate Tristan Brouwer.

Defender Alejandro Saez is the lone Academy player headed east, as he signed for the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. Saez will also have a familiar face on his team, though, in Academy product Mason Schuster.
