After going eight games without losing a match, the Dynamo have not won a match in their past four attempts. Houston will be looking to right the ship Thursday night when they take on former Western Conference rival Real Salt Lake at BBVA Compass Stadium. RSL enters the match in second place in the Western Conference and is coming off a 1-0 home win over D.C. United last weekend. The Claret and Cobalt will be without Kyle Beckerman, Will Johnson and Alvaro Saborio, who are all with their respective national teams for World Cup qualifiers. Nick Rimando was also called up to the U.S. national team but will not join them until after Thursday's match.
The Dynamo will also enter the match short-handed, with Andre Hainault, Boniek Garcia, Jermaine Taylor and Je-Vaughn Watson away for national team duty. Rookie Warren Creavalle, who has seen time both at defense and midfielder in 2012, was listed as out on Tuesday's injury report with a left ankle sprain. This will be the first and only regular season meeting between the two clubs in 2012.
