The Houston Dynamo's Methodist Center for Sports Medicine injury report was released on Friday and there were few surprises.

The 2012-13 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Finals Week will be held from July 14-20 in Houston, returning to the area for a second straight season. The format of the event will differ from last season's Finals Week as both the Under-15/16 and U-17/18 levels will play their group and placement games on the same day.

Over the past two-and-a-half years Corey Ashe has quietly turned into one of the best left backs in MLS and now even USMNT manager Jurgen Klinsmann has taken notice.

Ashe will get a shot to show Klinsmann what he can do up close and in-person, after US Soccer announced on Thursday morning that Ashe has been called in for the team’s friendly match against Belgium on May 29.

But Ashe never imagined his first career U.S. call-up would come at left back.

Houston Dynamo defender Corey Ashe has been added to the U.S. men’s national team roster by head coach Jurgen Klinsmann for its game against Belgium on May 29 in Cleveland, Ohio., it was announced today.

Ashe, 27, is the third Dynamo player named to the national team for upcoming games. He will join midfielder Brad Davis at the national team camp in Cleveland on May 27 following Houston’s game at Sporting Kansas City on Sunday.

The intensity in Brad Davis' eyes burned like the midday sun as the Dynamo captain stressed that the players are ready for a battle against Sporting Kansas City (Sunday, 2:30 pm, NBCSN) and determined to atone for the past two defeats.
