Lance Eversole joined the Houston Dynamo, Houston Dash and BBVA Stadium as the club’s General Counsel in January 2016.
Eversole brings more than 20 years of experience to his role, in which he is responsible for drafting and negotiating company contracts including leases, license agreements and service agreements; counseling the human resources department on all aspects of employee relations; overseeing the club’s risk management efforts; managing outside attorneys; and, representing the club at depositions and mediations.
Prior to joining the club, Eversole provided governmental relations services to a variety of public and private clients. He has represented the City of Houston and the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County at the Texas Legislature and has represented private entities in front of the Port of Houston Authority, the Harris County Hospital District and various local government entities.
Eversole joined the Dynamo and Dash after spending 16 years as the Director of Legal Affairs for NRG Park on behalf of Stadium Management Group (SMG). He was a key member of the leadership team that oversaw the construction of NRG Park, NRG Stadium and the NRG Center; and he played key roles in negotiating agreements with the park’s two primary tenants, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and the Houston Texans.
Eversole earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin before earning his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center in 1998.
As a student at UT-Austin, he served in the office of State Senator Dan Shelley, and he worked for the office of Texas Governor George W. Bush in 1995 after earning his degree.
Eversole lives in Houston with his wife and two sons.
