I would like to start off by wishing everyone the best holiday season ever! I appreciate and am grateful for all of the support you have given our club this year and what a year it has been:

  • Winning the Eastern Conference title and advancing to our 3rd MLS Cup in six years
  • Breaking ground on the new stadium and watching it rise as a major part of the Houston landscape
  • Naming our new home – BBVA Compass Stadium
  • Opening our new training complex, the Houston Amateur Sports Park
  • Adding new players such as Luiz Camargo, Calen Carr, Adam Moffat, Jermaine Taylor, and Je-Vaughn Watson
  • Drafting Will Bruin and Kofi Sarkodie
  • Seeing Bruin become the first Dynamo rookie to net a hat trick and introducing us to the Dancing Bear celebration
  • Signing two home-grown players in Alex Dixon and Josue Soto
  • Seeing Dixon win it in stoppage-time over RSL, earning three critical points and becoming the first Dynamo Academy player to score in a first team match
  • Watching our four Dynamo All-Stars perform against Manchester United at Red Bull Arena
  • Closing out our time at Robertson Stadium with a huge playoff win over Philadelphia
  • Seeing Dominic Kinnear earn his 100th victory in the regular season finale vs. LA
  • Reuniting the supporters’ groups to their rightful place in the north end to lead our stadium in song and cheer

On and on I can go. It’s been a wonderful year, and we are truly blessed to have so many great things happening with our club. 2012 will be another historic year for the Dynamo. There are just 30 days until pre-season camp begins, 78 until the first game of the season, and 140 days until we open BBVA Compass Stadium on May 12. I’ll be in touch in January with updates on the team, the stadium, and the business.

Happy Holidays!
