Dynamo Academy Team of the Week - Nov. 15

Goalkeeper: Nicholas Reitsma, U-14 Pre-Academy

Nicholas is a dominating presence in goal for the U14’s. He was credited with a clean sheet in his team’s 2-0 defeat of the Dallas Texans. He not only produced some fine saves, but he also commanded his area on crosses into the box.

Did you know? Nicholas has been a part of a number of US training camps.

Defender: J.P Nava, U-13 Pre-Academy

J.P was outstanding at the back for the U13’s this past weekend. He was forever breaking up the play and made some vital last-ditch tackles. He also connected superbly going forward.

Did you know? J.P has started every game at center back for the U13’s this season.

Defender: Christian Nelson, U-14 Pre-Academy

Christian put in another great performance in his teams 2-0 win over the Dallas Texans this weekend. His no-nonsense style of defending is a nightmare for opposing forwards, while he also shows great composure when playing out from the back.

Did you know? Christian is in the 9th grade and attends Clear Springs High School

Defender: R.J Martinolli, U-13 Pre-Academy

R.J put in another commanding performance in his team’s 0-0 draw with the Dallas Texans last weekend. His size and speed at the back is a great asset to the U13’s and he is a big reason as to why they have only allowed 3 goals this season.

Did you know? R.J has played every minute of the U13’s games this season

Defender:  Edwin Gomez, U-15 Pre-Academy

Edwin played a key part in keeping his U15 team undefeated this past weekend in Dallas. He played very well on both sides of the ball and had the assist on the game-winning goal.

Did you know? Edwin played in the MLS Cup in Seattle in August

Midfield: Wilmer Barron, U-15 Pre-Academy

Wilmer played a big part in his team’s 1-0 win this past weekend. He was a constant menace with the ball at his feet and managed to get beyond opposing defenders on a consistent basis.

Did you know? Wilmer Barron attends Seven Lakes HS in Katy.

Midfield: Christian Molina, U-14 Pre-Academy

Christian put in yet another lively performance as the U14’s won 2-0 in Dallas this past weekend. The skillful and creative midfielder was at the heart of the play and rarely conceded possession. He has been a constant in the U14’s midfield so far this season.

Did you know? Christian is the captain of the U14 Pre-Academy team.

Midfield: Jommar Reyes, U-13 Pre-Academy

The skillful midfielder had another outstanding performance in his sides 0-0 draw with the Dallas Texans. He made some fantastic runs from midfield and was also on hand to help defensively.

Did you know? Jommar has 6 goals in 7 games for the U13’s.

Forward: Matthew Alzate, U-14 Pre-Academy

Matthew scored the second goal of his side’s 2-0 victory over the Dallas Texans this past weekend. He was a constant threat from the wing and combined well going forward.

Did you know? Matthew was also part of the Dynamo Junior Academy

Forward: Deniz Sipahi , U-15 Pre-Academy

Deniz had a successful weekend up in Dallas for the U15’s. He not only scored the lone goal on the day, but he also worked extremely hard with and without the ball.

Did you know? Deniz attends Memorial HS and used to play for Baton Rouge Soccer Club

Forward:  Christian Murillo, U-13 Pre-Academy

Christian was excellent in his side’s 0-0 draw this past weekend. He has played at a number of positions for the U13’s so far this season and has impressed in all.

Did you know? Christian started the game in defense, and finished playing up front!
