Dynamo stay put in weekly MLSsoccer.com Power Rankings

After a 1-1 draw with FC Dallas last Friday in the Texas Derby, the Houston Dynamo saw no movement in their spot in the MLSsoccer.com Power Rankings for Week 17.

The tie kept the Dynamo locked in at No. 8 – the fourth-highest Western Conference team behind Sporting Kansas City, FC Dallas and the LA Galaxy. Here's what the rankers had to say with their ranking:

Still seem to be trying to find their style, with Wilmer Cabrera choosing to sit his time back far more often than he did at the start of the year.

In the actual standings, the Dynamo are still in second place, tied on points at 25 with both the Portland Timbers and FC Dallas. Houston is five points back of first place Sporting Kansas City – who they'll host in the U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday (5:30 p.m. | TICKETS) – but are back in MLS action this Saturday against the Colorado Rapids (8 p.m. | KUBE) before returning home on July 5 to take on the Montreal Impact (7:30 p.m. | TICKETS).
