Dec. 12, 2013: Houston Dynamo announce the introduction of women’s team, the Houston Dash, to the National Women’s Soccer League

Dec. 23, 2013: Houston Dynamo legend and all-time leading goal scorer Brian Ching named Houston Dash managing director

Jan. 3, 2014: Whitney Engen, Teresa Noyola and Melissa Tancredi were announced as the first players on the Dash roster via national team allocation (Tancredi traded to Chicago Red Stars in exchange for goalkeeper Erin McLeod on Jan. 7)

Jan. 3, 2014: Former Notre Dame head coach Randy Waldrum appointed as the Dash's first head coach

Jan. 10, 2014: Houston Dash select 10 players in the 2014 National Women’s Soccer League expansion draft

Jan. 17, 2014: Kealia Ohai, Rafaelle Souza, Marissa Diggs, and Jordan Jackson selected in the 2014 NWSL College Draft.

Feb. 7, 2014: The NWSL announces the schedule for the Dash's inaugural season, with 12 home matches at BBVA Compass Stadium beginning with an April 12 opener against reigning champions Portland Thorns FC

Feb. 7, 2014: Dash unveil uniforms for the 2014 season, sponsored by BBVA Compass

Feb. 8, 2014: Fans are able to meet Dash players for the first time at "Dash Day," a free fan event held at BBVA Compass Stadium

Feb. 15, 2014: Dash hold open tryouts at Houston Sports Park; five players from the 140 trying out invited back for preseason camp

March 10, 2014: First training session held at Houston Sports Park 

March 19, 2014: Houston Dash win 4-0 in their first game ever, a preseason scrimmage against Rice University

April 5, 2014: Dash play on their home turf at BBVA Compass Stadium for the first time, a 7-1 preseason win over the Houston Aces
