The Houston Dash opened their preseason trip to the Pacific Northwest with a 3-0 victory over Oregon State University at Providence Park.
Janine Beckie scored the first goal of the game in the 13th minute, her second goal of the preseason. Kealia Ohai flicked a ball to Stephanie Ochs who found Beckie 15 yards away from goal. Beckie’s shot found the inside of the left post for the opening score.
Five minutes into the second half the Texas Tech product scored her third goal of the preseason off a cross from Poliana. The Brazilian defender found Beckie 12 yards away from goal for her first assist of the preseason.
Andressa scored the final goal of the game and her first goal of the preseason in the 75th minute off a free kick that went around the wall from 25 yards away. The Dash won the free kick due to a foul on the Brazilian midfielder.
The Dash face Seattle Reign FC at 7 p.m. CT on Wednesday, March 30 at Providence Park for their second game of this preseason tournament. The club returns to Houston on April 4 to prepare for the home opener against the Chicago Red Stars at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16.
