The Dash look to earn back-to-back victories at Shell Energy Stadium this weekend when they host San Diego Wave FC on Saturday. The match is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT and will stream live on Paramount+. Additionally, the Dash will celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month during the match.

Houston will honor defender Allysha Chapman before the match for making 100 career NWSL appearances. Chapman hit the milestone during Houston’s match against Portland Thorns FC at Shell Energy Stadium on Friday, May 12.

The Dash are back in action following an impressive come from behind win over the Thorns at home last Friday. Houston went into the locker room trailing the reigning NWSL champions after they scored in the 34th minute of the match. Midfielder Joelle Anderson scored the equalizer after she capitalized on a clearance forced by forward Ebony Salmon. Anderson, who was back in the lineup after dealing with an injury, scored her first goal since July 16, 2022. Salmon scored the game-winning goal in the 71st minute after forcing a turnover by the Portland defense.

San Diego Wave FC enters Saturday’s match in with a 4-3-0 (WLD) record in league play and in fifth place in the NWSL standings. The Wave are coming off a 2-0 road win over the Kansas City Current at Children’s Mercy Park. Saturday will mark the third consecutive road match for the Wave. San Diego’s star player Alex Morgan has scored four goals, the second highest mark in league play. On the other side of the field goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan has allowed 10 goals this season and has made 27 saves, which is the second-best mark across the league.
