Robinson joined the Houston Dynamo, working with the Dynamo Academy, as well as a color commentator for various TV and radio broadcasts.
The Orlando, Florida native then worked with Dynamo Charities as an ambassador to the Houston community.
Later, Robinson took over as head coach of the Dynamo U-16 squad. In 2017, Robinson joined former Houston Dash head coach Vera Pauw as part of the technical staff.
As a player, Robinson was selected 20th overall in the 2001 MLS SuperDraft by San Jose Earthquakes after playing for the University of North Carolina for four years.
During his time as a professional player, the first assistant coach won four MLS Cup titles, the last two with the Houston Dynamo in 2006 and 2007. He enjoyed a 11-year career in Major League Soccer.
