Dynamo 2, Columbus Crew 1

Houston won its third game in a row with a flurry of first-half activity. Joseph Ngwenya, acquired in a trade for Alejandro Moreno, scored in his third consecutive game, but Moreno responded to tie the game just three minutes later. The decisive goal came in the 29th minute, when Kelly Gray crossed a pass that deflected in off of Crew defender Chad Marshall for an own goal. Houston evened its league record at 5-5-1.
