In an electric playoff atmosphere at Robertson Stadium, the Dynamo went down two goals on aggregate after an early Carlos Ruiz goal but rallied big in the second half. Arturo Alvarez was ejected for kneeing Brad Davis in the groin, and the Dynamo took advantage with goals from Stuart Holden and Brian Ching to force overtime. In extra time, Ching knocked home a shot from close range to give Houston the lead, and Brad Davis delivered the knockout with a superb free kick to send Houston back to the Western Conference final.
