Dynamo down Sydney 3-0 in Hawaii

Playing their first game since winning their second straight MLS Cup title last November, the Houston Dynamo downed Australian club Sydney FC 3-0 in the semifinals of the preseason Pan-Pacific Championship at Aloha Stadium in Hawaii. Native son Brian Ching, who received the loudest ovation of the night, set up two goals for Houston, including powerful strikes from Dwayne De Rosario and Chris Wondolowski that sandwiched a near-post goal from Stuart Holden.
