In the MLS Game of the Week, the Houston Dynamo will travel to Sandy, Utah, to take on Real Salt Lake. The game kicks off at 8 p.m. CT and will broadcast on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes. The Dynamo are unbeaten in their last eight meetings against RSL. Both teams will look to continue the form they showed in their past games, each posting shutouts against their previous opponent.

The story of the year for the Dynamo has been the rash of injuries that have occurred. As Dwain Capodice points outs, with Mulrooney and Ching back and Weaver training again, the triage unit is looking a little lighter.

Tonight’s game between the Dynamo and RSL will feature the USA Bid flag on the field prior to the game. MLS has pledged its full support behind the Bid Committee as they attempt to secure the World Cup for the United States in 2018 or 2022.

Landon Donovan, teammate of Dynamo forward Brian Ching on the men’s national team, believes that Wayne Rooney is “worn out” from all the games he has played over the past few months. I wouldn’t say Landon is waking a sleeping giant, but do we really need to add more fuel to this fire?

Reliant Stadium will be rocking tonight when Mexico concludes its pre-World Cup United States tour with a friendly against Angola. Although he believes all of his players are equally skilled, Mexican national team head coach Javier Aguirre will have to cut two players from his roster after the game, to get closer to the 23-man roster required by FIFA before June 1.
