Brian Ching

The big news of the week was the selection of the 23 players who will represent the United States at the World Cup. Ives Galarcep wonders how the U.S. team will hold up against the more experienced international competition in South Africa. 


Although Dynamo forward Brian Ching was omitted from the roster, he wasted little time returning to practice and preparing for this weekend’s match against Philadelphia. Head coach Dominic Kinnear offered Ching the day off, but Ching felt the best course of action was to resume training and be among friends.


The 2010 SuperLiga schedule and venues were announced today. The Dynamo are paired with Pachuca, Puebla and Chivas USA.  This will make the fourth straight year that Houston and Pachuca will square off.


In a continuation of Craig Waibel’s “Bald is Beautiful” campaign, a few Dynamo players had their heads shaved at a local area hospital to support children’s cancer research.

In a scene that would make even the Argentines cringe, Diego Maradona promised to run naked through the streets of Buenos Aires if his team wins the World Cup. It would be the first championship for Argentina since 1986, when Maradona, as a player, led his country to the title.
