Dynamo announce Soccer Jam participants

The Houston Dynamo announced today the roster of celebrities and legends who will compete in an exhibition match, available to the public for free at the MLS All-Star Jam on Tuesday, July 27, at Discovery Green Park as part of the build-up to the 2010 AT&T MLS All-Star Game.


The match will feature celebrities and soccer legends mixed between the two teams. Soccer legends include five members of the United States roster at the 1994 FIFA World Cup and eight total former U.S. internationals, including Women’s World Cup winners Brandi Chastain and Joy Fawcett.


Celebrities at the event include comedian/actor Guy Torry, who will serve as an MC, Houston Rockets first round draft pick Patrick Patterson, who will coach one team, and the musical artist Phife, from Tribe called Quest, who will coach the other team.


The tentative rosters are as follows:

The MLS All-Star Jam will take place from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, just one day before the MLS All-Stars face Manchester United in the 2010 AT&T MLS All-Star Game at Reliant Stadium. Admission to the All-Star Jam is free, and fans of all ages are invited.
