The Houston Dynamo announced a trade today, sending Brian Mullan and a 2013 fourth-round draft pick to the Colorado Rapids for midfielder Colin Clark and allocation money. Dynamo players and coaches praised Mullan for his fighting spirit. Although Clark is coming off multiple knee surgeries, doctors believe he will be ready for the 2011 season and the former U.S. international will be a welcome addition to the squad.


Houston will begin life without Brian Mullan on Saturday when Toronto FC comes to town.


The Dynamo sit in the 15th spot in ESPN.com's weekly power rankings.
