Dynamo President Chris Canetti joined the East Downtown Management District for a tree-planting on Tuesday in East Downtown, part of the club’s ongoing commitment to supporting East Downtown, which is expected to be home to the Dynamo’s new stadium, set to open in 2012. The community landscape project was located at the Bastrop right of way.

"We are committed to working with the East Downtown community," Canetti said. "Whether through graffiti cleanups or planting trees, we are constantly looking for ways to strengthen our relationship with a community that has given us so much and that will become our new home in 2012."

Canetti joined District I Councilmember James Rodriguez, EaDo District Board of Directors Chairman Norm Pegram, and EaDo District Maintenance Foreman Eric Retana in the ceremony to supporting an increased green presence in East Downtown.

The project was funded by the East Downtown Management District and is part of the overall beautification of EaDo. The landscaping contractor was Jay Williams of Landscape Art, Inc.
