The middle stretch of the Dynamo’s home schedule kicks off with a bang on Saturday, May 21, when the Dynamo host the New York Red Bulls, featuring French superstar Thierry Henry, Mexican standout Rafa Marquez, and former Dynamo midfielder Dwayne De Rosario. The clubs played to a tense 1-1 draw at Red Bull Arena on April 2, and Houston will be looking to take the season series from one of its main competitors for the Eastern Conference title. Last year, Henry made his MLS debut at Robertson Stadium in a match that drew 24,750 fans.

The following week, Houston takes on rival FC Dallas, the defending Western Conference champion. The teams play each season for El Capitán, a Civil War-era mountain howitzer that Houston has won in three of five seasons. The Dynamo and Dallas have already met twice this year in preseason, with Houston taking a 3-0 win on February 5 and Dallas breaking a tie with a shootout win to take the Disney Pro Soccer Classic championship on February 26.

“This middle portion of the home schedule features some of the most exciting games of the year, including the visit of Henry and Marquez for New York and a game against our closest rival, Dallas,” Dynamo Senior Vice President for Business Development Steven Powell said. “These are all Saturday night games, where we’ve had a lot of success in the past, and based on the high level of demand, we encourage fans to purchase their seats as early as possible.”
Other games set to go on sale today are June 11 against Chivas USA, June 18 against Columbus, and July 9 against Toronto FC. Tickets for remaining games go on sale at a later date.
Individual game tickets start as low as $22. Dynamo season ticket packages and mini-plans are also available and can be purchased by calling the Houston Dynamo offices at (713) 276-GOAL.
