Residential Elite Camp Day 2

Monday was the first full day of the Dynamo Residential Camp taking place at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. The campers got an early start to their day after waking up for an 8 a.m. breakfast. They were then separated into their respective age groups and for the next three hours, the groups trained and sat through soccer-related lectures. The training session covered defending, while the lectures covered the path to excellence, and what it takes to become a professional soccer player.

After lunch, the campers were split into groups of three for a 3v3 futsal tournament inside the gymnasium. It was a welcome break for the campers, to get out of the heat, and play competitive games in front of their peers.

After the futsal tournament, the campers enjoyed their snack break, as they watched the U-17 World Cup. After their snack break, the campers went back outside and participated in finishing drills. The day ended, with full-field 11v11 games on the Our Lady of the Lake University match field. After all the age groups finished with their training and games, the campers ate dinner in the dining hall before heading back to Flores Hall for the night.
