The hottest ticket in Carson, Calif., on Nov. 20 will be the 2011 MLS Cup match between the LA Galaxy and the Houston Dynamo at The Home Depot Center. With 10 days to go before kickoff, all tickets – inluding the additional batch created on Thursday afternoon due to high demand – have been sold.

For the Dynamo, this year’s final will be the team’s third in six years since moving to Houston from San Jose prior to the 2006 season. They reached the stage by beating the Philadelphia Union in the Eastern Conference semifinals and Sporting Kansas City in the Eastern Conference championship match.

Houston will be looking to maintain a perfect record in MLS Cup appearances; in two previous title games, in 2006 and ’07, the Dynamo emerged victorious both times.

The Supporters’ Shield-winning Galaxy reached MLS Cup by defeating the New York Red Bulls in a Western Conference semifinal series, followed by a victory in the Western Conference championship game against Real Salt Lake. The game on Nov. 20 will be LA’s seventh appearance in MLS Cup, a league record. The Galaxy played for the title in 1996, ’99, 2001, ’02, ’05, and ’09, winning it in 2002 and 2005.

The 2011 edition marks the first time the Galaxy will play for the crown in their home stadium. They went undefeated in 23 contests (18-0-5) at The Home Depot Center throughout all competitions (MLS, CONCACAF Champions League, and U.S. Open Cup) this season.

The 2011 MLS Cup will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN, Galavisión, and SportsTalk 790 in the Houston area.
