Houston Dynamo forward Jason Garey underwent arthroscopic surgery today to repair a torn labrum and remove bone spurs in his right hip, the club announced. The procedure was performed by Dr. Kaare Kolstad of the Methodist Hospital System. Garey will not be available for Sunday’s MLS Cup final.

Garey made 11 appearances for the Dynamo in all competitions this year, led the Dynamo Reserves with three goals and two assists, and scored in a Sept. 4 friendly against Monterrey.

Currently on a five-game win streak and nine-game unbeaten streak, the Eastern Conference champion Dynamo will play in their third MLS Cup final in six years on November 20, taking on the LA Galaxy.
