The Houston Dynamo and English-language television partner FOX Sports Houston have renewed their broadcast agreement for the 2012 season, it was announced today.

As part of this partnership, FOX Sports Houston and FOX Sports Houston Plus will broadcast a total of 16 Dynamo regular-season games starting on Saturday, March 17.  Seven games are slated to air on FOX Sports Houston and nine on FOX Sports Houston Plus.

“This agreement with Fox Sports Houston, coupled with our overall television package, creates the strongest broadcast situation in club history,” said Dynamo president

Chris Canetti. “I'm pleased to be partnering with Houston's leading regional sports network in what will be the most exciting season of Dynamo soccer. Most importantly, our fans will have incredible access to view matches.”

Fox Sports Houston (Comcast channel 37, DirectTV 678, Uverse 1755) has been a television partner of the Dynamo since their inaugural season in 2006. All game broadcasts will be available in high-definition.

“We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Houston Dynamo and another exciting season of televising their games,” said FOX Sports Houston General Manager/General Sales Manager Steve McNair. “We’re thrilled to showcase their energetic brand of soccer to a dynamic fan base in Houston.”

A full schedule of Dynamo game broadcasts on Fox Sports Houston is below. Dynamo game broadcasts will feature nationally recognized play-by-play broadcaster Glenn Davis in his third season as the Dynamo’s primary television voice after serving as color analyst for three seasons. Davis also works regularly on national telecasts and has experience calling such major soccer events as the 2002, 2006, and 2010 FIFA World Cups, the UEFA Champions League, Copa América, and United States men’s and women’s national team matches.

The Dynamo will play their first seven games of the season on the road before opening BBVA Compass Stadium on May 12 against D.C. United. While single game tickets to Dynamo home games are not yet available, fans can purchase tickets to all games via Dynamo full and partial season ticket plans. Ticket packages can be purchased by calling (713) 276-GOAL or by visiting HoustonDynamo.com.
