The Houston Dynamo defeated PDL club Laredo Heat 5-0 Thursday morning at the Houston Amateur Sports Park. With the Dynamo in the midst of their second consecutive bye week, the MLS club invited the Heat to town for a mid-week friendly.

The Dynamo received first-half braces from Cam Weaver and Mac Kandji to take a 4-0 lead into the halftime break.
In the second half, Brian Ching fired home a Calen Carr backheel to increase Houston's lead to 5-0.
The Dynamo will resume training for the next week before traveling to Bridgeview, Ill., for an April 15 battle against the Chicago Fire. On Tuesday, the Dynamo Reserves will look to continue their strong form when they travel to Frisco for a reserve-league match against the FC Dallas Reserves.
