Dynamo striker Will Bruin was named to the MLS Team of the Week for Matchday 8. The second-year forward scored both of Houston's goals in Saturday's 3-2 loss at D.C. United.

After the Dynamo fell behind 1-0, Bruin leveled the match when he volleyed home a Jermaine Taylor cross in the 50th minute. D.C. United retook the lead minutes later, but it did not take Bruin long to equalize once again. The second-year striker picked up a loose ball in the 59th minute and fired a shot on goal. United goalkeeper Joe Willis got his hands on the attempt but could not corral the ball as it rolled into the net. The goals were Bruin's third and fourth of 2012.

The Team of the Week honor is the second for Bruin in 2012, but his fourth overall. He was named to the MLS Team of the Week for Matchdays 4 and 7 during his rookie campaign.
