A look inside the Dynamo's home-unbeaten streak

When the Houston Dynamo take the field Friday night against the New York Red Bulls, they will be looking to extend their MLS best home-unbeaten streak to 19 games games. The streak began on July 9, 2011, when the Dynamo defeated Toronto FC 2-0 at Robertson Stadium. Since then, Houston has not lost in 18 consecutive regular season home games and has defeated 11 different opponents during that span. Houston's record during that streak is 14-0-4.

With some help from our friends at Opta Sports, we went inside the Dynamo's unbeaten streak to find some key stats.

The Dynamo have scored 36 goals, with 14 different players getting on the scoresheet. Brian Ching leads all goal scorers with six. Houston is 4-4 from the penalty spot and has scored 31 goals from inside the 18-yard box. 19 of the 36 goals have come at BBVA Compass Stadium, with the remaining 17 coming at Robertson Stadium.

Dynamo goalkeeper Tally Hall has recorded 39 saves over the course of the streak. Hall, along with the Houston defense, has five shutouts and is only allowing .83 goals per game.

Keeping the ball

Over the last 18 home games, the Dynamo have averaged 57% possession. Houston has converted 6,879 successful passes and has an 80% passing accuracy per game.
