The Houston Dynamo will host the Montréal Impact at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at BBVA Compass Stadium, presented by The Methodist Cancer Center. Saturday is the second game of a crucial four-match homestand, with the final two regular season home games and last Champions League group stage game remaining. The game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Houston Plus and MultiMedios 43 (Spanish), and can be heard on KPRC 950 AM and La Ranchera 850 AM (Spanish).
Houston is 13-8-10 (49 points) after 31 games and in fifth place in the Eastern Conference. The top five teams from each conference advance to the MLS Cup Playoffs. The Dynamo are one point ahead of the Columbus Crew and trail D.C. United by two points for fourth place.
The Impact are 12-15-4 (40 points) through 31 games and in seventh place in the Eastern Conference. Saturday will be the third encounter between the Dynamo and the Impact this season. Montréal defeated the Dynamo, 4-2, at Saputo Stadium on June 23 before Houston gained a 3-0 home victory over the Impact on July 21.
The Dynamo earned a 2-0 win over the New England Revolution on Saturday, extending their home unbeaten home streak to 23 regular season games. Goalkeeper Tally Hall set a franchise record with his 12th shutout of the season. Ricardo Clark scored his first goal since returning to the Dynamo in August and Boniek Garcia sealed the victory with his third goal in orange.
The Dynamo are 10-0-5 at home this season, and if they win or draw their last two regular season home games will be the fourth team in Major League Soccer history to complete an unbeaten home schedule.
The Impact drew 0-0 with Sporting Kansas City in their last game, Sept. 22 at Saputo Stadium. Montréal’s Patrice Bernier leads the club with 9 goals while Felipe Martins has a team-high 10 assists.
