The Houston Dynamo and Gow Media have signed a multiyear radio partnership, it was announced today. Most Dynamo games will air on 1560 AM, with select games airing on ESPN 97.5 FM.

The deal also includes a weekly radio show hosted by Houston soccer personality Glenn Davis, “Dynamo All-Access”, airing on Monday nights from 7 - 9 p.m.; along with additional programming throughout the year. Dynamo All-Access will debut on 1560 AM on Monday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m., the same day the Dynamo officially begin training camp for the 2013 season.

“With Gow Media, 1560 AM, and ESPN 97.5 FM, we have found a group that believes in the Dynamo and Major League Soccer,” said Dynamo president Chris Canetti. “They are committed to a partnership that will help our team, league and sport to grow. This is a tremendous development for the Dynamo and for soccer fans around the Houston area. I am pleased to have a strong English radio platform to thoroughly tell our compelling storylines.”

ESPN 97.5 will also simulcast certain games airing on 1560 AM, when scheduling allows, providing fans with a listening option on Gow Media’s AM and FM stations.

Dynamo communications manager Matt Pedersen enters his second season as the team’s play-by-play announcer. Game broadcasts will include a 30-minute pregame and 30-minute postgame show. Home games will be followed by a 1-hour post game radio show presented by San Jacinto Community College and hosted by Davis.

“We are really excited about this new partnership with the Houston Dynamo,” said Gow Media CEO David Gow. “The Dynamo have incredible momentum – a winning team, a passionate fan base and a great new stadium. We really look forward to being the radio home of the Dynamo for years to come and part of the fastest growing sport in the United States.”

The first radio broadcast of the 2013 season is scheduled for Saturday, March 2, as the Dynamo host D.C. United on opening day. It is a rematch of the 2012 Eastern Conference Championship, with the pre-game show slated for 6:30 p.m. and kickoff at 7 p.m. CT.
