Houston Dynamo Pre-Academy forward Jommar Reyes has been invited to train with the U.S. U-14 boy's national team at an upcoming training camp in Carson, Calif., from Feb. 16-24.

Reyes, who attends Budawig Intermediate School, has been a consistent contributor for the Dynamo U-13s this year. He has scored seven goals for the U-13s and an additional goal for the U-14s after being promoted to the older squad in late November.

"Jommar has been in our program for six years and it's been great to see his progression," said James Clarkson, Dynamo Director of Youth Development. "He is a player who is very confident and is always looking to get on the ball.

"It's a great honor for Jommar to be selected to this camp," Clarkson added. "Our goal this year is to try and put more players into the national team programs and hopefully this is the first of many."

Reyes has been named to the Dynamo Academy Team of the Week twice this season, both while playing for the U-13s.

The U-14 boy's national team is led by head coach Hugo Perez, a former national team midfielder who scored 16 goals in 73 appearances for the USMNT.
