Dynamo Academy Team of the Week - Feb. 12

Goalkeeper: Andy Rios, U-16 Academy

Andy was superb for the U16s this past weekend. The towering goalkeeper made some fine saves to keep the Dallas Texans off the board for long periods of the game. Andy was also very good in his distribution of the ball.

Defender: Noe Ochoa, U-15 Pre-Academy

Noe is another player who has been frequenting the TOTW in recent months. Noe was excellent from his outside back position this past weekend, working up and down the line with tireless energy, while also providing his teammates with some dangerous through balls.

Defender: Alejandro Saez, U-14 Pre- Academy

Alejandro earns a spot on the TOTW for a second time in 3 weeks after another stellar performance this past weekend. The center back was excellent in the way he organized his back four and distributed the ball to his teammates.

Defender: Adrian Vela, U-13 Pre-Academy

Adrian was again superb for the U13’s this past weekend at HASP. The powerful center back is a natural leader and he showed that this weekend as he lead his team to victory over the Dallas Texans. 

Midfielder: Dener Dos Santos, U-18 Academy

Dener was fantastic in the midfield for the U17/18’s this past weekend. The talented left-footed player was precise with his passing and always looked a threat going forward. The UCF bound player will look to build on this performance for the remainder of the year.

Midfielder: Johan Benitez, U-13 Pre-Academy

Johan was the stand out performer in his side’s 2-1 victory at the weekend. The silky midfielder was catalyst to some fantastic passing moves and played a part in both goals. 

Midfielder: Memo Rodriguez, U-18 Academy

Memo was again exceptional in his side’s 2-0 win at the weekend. The link between the midfield and the forwards, Memo’s movement without the ball was a joy to watch and once he received the ball he created a number of goal-scoring opportunities.

Midfielder: Christian Murillo, U-13 Pre-Academy

Christian was excellent in all aspects of his game on Sunday. He broke up play, attacked with purpose, and got on the score sheet in his side’s 2-1 victory.

Forward: Roberto Marquez, U-15 Pre-Academy

Roberto scored twice as his side fought their way to victory against the Dallas Texans. Two superbly dispatched finishes and a tirless workrate accumulated in a productive day for both him and the U15’s!

Forward: Julius Montano, U-16 Pre-Academy

Dom scored one and played a part in another as his side earned a 3-1 victory at the weekend. The skillful forward was a constant menace to the opposing defense and never let them rest, forever applying pressure on the back four.

Forward: Irvin Ramirez, U-18 Academy

Irvin was excellent again for the U17/18’s this past weekend. The right footed player, who plays on the left wing, was fantastic in his delivery from wide positions.
