Saturday's 2-1 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps not only broke Houston's two-game losing streak, but it allowed a few Dynamo players to cross certain milestones in their playing career.
First and foremost is Corey Ashe, the indispensible left back who made a seamless transition from outside mid to outside back midway through the 2011 season. With his 90-minute performance against the Whitecaps, Ashe became the sixth Dynamo player to cross the 10,000-minute plateau in the regular season. Ashe joins Brad Davis, Bobby Boswell, Pat Onstad, Brian Ching and Brian Mullan on the list. The next Dynamo player in line to cross the 10,000-minute mark is Ricardo Clark, who currently has 9.659 regular season minutes under his belt.

Speaking of Clark, the nine-year veteran played in his 150th regular season game for Houston on Saturday. Clark has now passed former Dynamo defender/midfielder Geoff Cameron on the all-time games played list and sits seventh all-time.
Dynamo center back Bobby Boswell has been the epitome of consistency since he came into the league in 2005. On Saturday, he started his 225th career regular season game, 147 of which have come wearing the Dynamo orange.
Saturday's goals by Giles Barnes and Warren Creavalle were the first regular season goals of their career. Barnes previously struck for Houston in last year's Champions League home match vs. CD FAS.
Also, with three regular starters away for the international break, a few players made their Dynamo debuts on Saturday. Center back Eric Brunner, who was acquired in the offseason from the Portland Timbers, and forward Omar Cummings, who was acquired in the offseason from the Colorado Rapids, each made their first appearance in orange. Midfielder Andrew Driver made his first start for Houston, after coming on as a substitute in matches against Santos Laguna and FC Dallas.
