Three Dynamo players feature in latest World Cup qualifiers

The second series of CONCACAF Hexagonal matches are in the books, with three Dynamo players featuring for their respective national over the past week.

After not dressing for Friday's USMNT match vs. Costa Rica, Dynamo midfielder Brad Davis came off the bench Tuesday night, in the 0-0 draw vs. Mexico. Davis played the final 19 minutes of the match, manning both the left and right flanks. The Dynamo midfielder picked up a late yellow card for a tackle on Andres Guardado.

Elsewhere around CONCACAF, Jermaine Taylor played 90 minutes in both of Jamaica's World Cup qualifiers. The Reggae Boyz tied Panama 1-1 on Friday, before losing to Costa Rica 2-0 on Tuesday.

Boniek Garcia also added two more caps to his resume, playing 90 minutes in both of Honduras' Hexagonal matches. Los Catrachos came from behind to tie Mexico 2-2 in San Pedro Sula on Friday, before falling on the road to Panama 2-0 on Tuesday.

After three matches, Davis' USMNT and Garcia's Honduras are in a three-way tie for second place in their group. Taylor's Jamaica is currently in last place with only two points.

The top three teams from the Hex will automatically qualify for the World Cup. The fourth place team will play a home-and-away playoff against New Zealand to earn a spot in Brazil.

The next round of World Cup qualifying begins in June when the United States travel to Jamaica (6/7) before hosting Panama (6/11) and Honduras (6/18). Honduras will travel to Costa Rica (6/7) before hosting Jamaica (6/11) and traveling to Rio Tinto Stadium to face the United States (6/18). Jamaica will host Mexico (6/4) and the United States (6/7) before traveling to Honduras (6/11).
