More names than usual on Houston Dynamo injury report, presented by The Methodist Center for Sports Medicine

One of the main story lines heading into Sunday's Dynamo match was the injury status of key players for both squads. On Friday, the Dynamo released their injury report, presented by The Methodist Center for Sports Medicine, and although there were more names than usual on the list, there were few surprises.

Calen Carr (left knee), Omar Cummings (right knee) and Tyler Deric (left ankle) were all listed as out on the report. None are major surprises as Carr is still recovering from a knee injury he suffered in last year's MLS Cup final and Cummings has struggled to get to 100 percent after preseason knee surgery. Deric's addition to the injury report means third-string goalkeeper Erich Marscheider will continue to earn a place in the 18-man gameday roster and back up starter Tally Hall.

Three Dynamo players were listed as questionable on the report including Brad Davis (right adductor), Adam Moffat (left hamstring) and Cam Weaver (lower back). Davis and Moffat left last weekend's match against Toronto FC early with injuries, while Weaver made the trip to Toronto but did not feature in the gameday roster. Davis and Moffat both trained on Friday and could be available for Sunday's match.

Good news for Dynamo fans is the omission of Boniek Garcia from the injury report. The Honduran winger has missed the last three games with an achilles injury, but Dominic Kinnear told reporters on Friday that he expects to see Garcia on the field come Sunday.

The Colorado Rapids injury report is as follows:

OUT: DF Diego Calderón (right knee surgery); MF Jaime Castrillón (right knee surgery); MF Kevin Harbottle (left knee sprain); GK Matt Pickens (left arm fracture); DF Marvell Wynne (right quad strain)

QUESTIONABLE: FW Deshorn Brown (right quad strain); FW Edson Buddle (right knee pain); MF Pablo Mastroeni (left quad
strain); MF Martín Rivero (broken right foot)
