Houston Dynamo midfielder Brian Ownby was named to the USL PRO Team of the Week on Tuesday. The 23-year-old helped the Pittsburgh Riverhounds gain a 2-2 draw on the road against the Richmond Kickers. Ownby scored the game’s opening goal in the 11th minute and drew a penalty kick, which was converted by teammate Jhonny Arteaga.

Since joining Pittsburgh on loan on April 3, the third-year professional has made three appearances (two starts) and scored one goal in 213 total minutes with the Riverhounds.

Ownby was recalled by the Dynamo on Tuesday for Wednesday’s game against the New York Red Bulls.

Dynamo goalkeeper Michael Lisch also started the game for Pittsburgh. It was Lisch’s first professional start after the Dynamo drafted him in the third round of the 2014 SuperDraft.

In addition, Dynamo attacker Jason Johnson and defender Anthony Arena both played 90 minutes in their third starts with Pittsburgh.

The Riverhounds host the Charleston Battery on Saturday at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh.

The Dynamo and Riverhounds formed an affiliate partnership for the 2014 season last November. Pittsburgh spent a portion of its preseason training at Houston Sports Park and played the Dynamo in a preseason scrimmage on Feb. 19.
