Stephanie Ochs earns W-League Player of the Week honors

Stephanie Ochs carved out a spot in the starting lineup as a left back last season with the Dash, but the lifelong forward hasn't forgotten her attacking ways.

Ochs is currently on loan with Australian W-League club Canberra United, and was recently named the league's Player of the Week after her performance in Canberra's 3-0 victory over Sydney FC to jump to second place in the league table.

Ochs, who has started every match of the W-League season for Canberra at forward, played a low cross to Michelle Heyman in the box who then backheeled a pass for Sally Rojahn to curl into the back of the net for the first goal in the 22nd minute. Ochs set up the second goal five minutes before halftime with a left-footed shot from 22 yards out that the Sydney goalkepper could only parry, allowing Heyman to eventually score off the rebound.

The Dash defender finally put her name on the scoresheet in the 76th minute, driving a low shot to the far corner from a wide angle after Heyman layed off a pass near the top of the box (watch highlights).

Another Dash forward on loan, Melissa Henderson, got a taste of UEFA Women's Champions League action over the weekend as Fortuna Hjørring faced off against FC Rosengård of Sweden. Henderson started and played 74 minutes for Hjørring in the 2-1 loss. The Danish squad will host Rosengård on November 13 for the second leg of their Round of 16 tie.
