Houston Dash forward Kealia Ohai has been selected to join the U.S. U-23 Women's National Team for its training camp from Jan. 3-10, U.S. Soccer announced.
Ohai is one of a 24-woman roster named by head coach Steve Swanson for camp at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Carson, California. Part of the camp will run concurrently with the U.S. Women's National Team event and the senior coaching staff will be observing training sessions.
Ohai, 22, was the second overall pick in the 2014 NWSL College Draft and appeared in 23 of the Dash's 24 games during her rookie campaign. She also tied for the team lead in goals with four, and added an assist while earning the club's Newcomer and Young Player of the Year awards.
