Three Houston Dynamo players featured for the Charleston Battery as the USL club played two games last week. Defender AJ Cochran started two games while goalkeeper Michael Lisch and midfielder Memo Rodriguez started one game each as the Battery played two road games in three days.

The Dynamo trio each started on Thursday as the Battery fell 1-0 to FC Montreal, the Montreal Impact’s USL club, for their first defeat of the season. It was the Battery debut for Cochran and Lisch, who joined Charleston on a short-term loan last week ahead of the busy weekend. It was the seventh Battery appearance and second start for Rodriguez, the 19-year-old Dynamo Academy product who signed with the first team last December.

The road trip continued Saturday with a visit to Columbia Soccer Stadium in Manhattan to face New York Red Bulls II. Cochran made his second consecutive start as the Battery secured a 1-1 draw.

Charleston (5-1-3; 18 points) is in second place in the Eastern Conference, three points behind the Rochester Rhinos. Next up, the Battery return to Blackbaud Stadium to host the Charlotte Independence on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Dynamo defender Taylor Hunter has made started all five games for the Colorado Springs Switchbacks since he joined the USL club on loan April 10. Hunter was selected by the Dynamo in the third round of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft out of the University of Denver. The Switchbacks (3-4-0; 9 points) welcome Arizona United SC to Colorado Springs on Saturday.
