Houston Dynamo Academy midfielder Marcelo Palomino was named to the United Stated Under-14 boys national team roster by head coach Brian Johnson for an eight-day training camp, which began on Sunday in Carson, Calif. The U.S. Under-14s will train in Southern California through Aug. 26.
This is Palomino’s sixth consecutive U-14 national team camp, including camps in January, February and April of this year.
Palomino turned 14 in May and scored six goals in 24 games with the U-14s last season. He also frequently played up with the U-16s and is the younger brother of U-18 midfielder Josue Palomino.
