Houston Dash defender Ellie Brush called up for Australia women's national team training camp

Houston Dash defender Ellie Brush has been called into a four day Australia women's national team training camp by head coach Alen Stajcic, it was announced on Sunday.


The camp will run from Nov. 9-12 at the Australian Insitute of Sport in Canberra as part of continued preparations for Olympic qualification in February.


Brush, who is currently on loan at Canberra United, has two caps for the Matildas, the most recent coming in 2012. The Canberra native earned Dash Defender of the Year honors after joining the team in May, making 15 appearances on the back line and adding a goal and an assist. Since returning to Australia on loan, Brush has started and played the full 90 minutes in each of United's first three games.
