USA Rugby is returning to BBVA Compass Stadium for the inaugural Americas Rugby Championship at 7 p.m. on Feb. 6. The opening match of the tournament features the U.S. National Team, the Eagles, against Argentina, who finished fourth at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
Tickets start at $23 and are on sale now at BBVACompassStadium.com and the stadium ticket office.
The match against Argentina marks the fourth appearance at BBVA Compass Stadium for the USA Rugby Men’s National Team since 2012, with the three previous matches among the top-10 most attended in Eagles history. Attendance for the 2013 and 2014 matches against Ireland and Scotland, respectively, surpassed 20,000 at BBVA Compass Stadium.
The Eagles will also be led by new head coach John Mitchell, a former captain for the All Blacks of New Zealand. Once the youngest-ever head coach of the All Blacks, Mitchell led New Zealand to a 25-1-2 record during his time in charge. Mitchell will make his USA Rugby coaching debut in the match against Argentina.
