The Houston Dynamo host the Rio Grande Valley FC Toros at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Houston Sports Park for a scrimmage that is free and open to the public.

RGV FC was recently in Houston for a week-long training camp that included three matches throughout the city. The Toros opened their preseason trip with a scoreless draw against Houston Baptist University on March 2 before defeating San Jacinto College 4-0 on March 5. RGV FC defeated the Dynamo Academy U-18 team 3-0 to wrap up the trip on March 8.

RGV FC returns to McAllen on Tuesday to prepare for a preseason game against San Antonio FC at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 19 at Toyota Field.

The Dynamo and RGV FC formed a hybrid affiliation last July. As part of the partnership, the Dynamo control all technical aspects of the club, including the selection and formation of the coaching staff as well as the construction of the roster.

RGV FC, which operates the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the NBA D-League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, will manage business operations for the club, including the current construction of a 9,400-seat state-of-the-art soccer stadium in Edinburg, Texas, 330 miles southwest of Houston, across the Mexican border from Reynosa.
