Individual tickets for all Houston Dash home games on sale Wednesday

The Houston Dash announced that individual tickets for all 2016 home games will be available for purchase beginning Wednesday at 10 a.m. CDT.


Tickets start at $15 and are available by visiting houstondashsoccer.com/tickets, by calling 713-276-GOAL or at the BBVA Compass Stadium ticket office.


The Dash opens the 2016 season on April 16 vs. the Chicago Red Stars. The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a limited-edition Carli Lloyd bobblehead courtesy of the title sponsor of the match, BBVA Compass. Fans that purchase full season ticket memberships for the 2016 season are guaranteed the Lloyd bobblehead. For information on becoming a full season member, contact Jen Fusci at 713-276-7598.


Lloyd, the reigning FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year, enters her second year with the Dash along with fellow USWNT star Morgan Brian. The Dash duo secured a spot in the 2016 Olympic Games in February by winning the CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship. Brian won the Golden Ball for her performance throughout the tournament. Additionally, five more players are expected to represent their national team at the Olympic Games.


Janine Beckie, the No. 8 overall pick in the 2016 NWSL College Draft, and Allysha Chapman recently won the Algarve Cup with the Canadian National Team. Andressa and Poliana finished second in the Algarve Cup with Brazil, host of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Lydia Williams aims to build on Australia’s undefeated run in the 2016 AFC Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament.


In preparation for the Olympic Games, the Dash recently signed Ireland’s Senior Women's International Player of the Year, Denise O’Sullivan. The Irish forward will join Rachel Daly, Kealia Ohai and Chioma Ubogagu in one of the most dynamic group of forwards in the league.  


The Dash’s 2016 home schedule includes five Saturday games, three Friday games and two Sunday games. Kickoff time for the first nine home games is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., kickoff information for the last home game will be released at a later time.


Two of the home games will feature Alex Morgan and the newest NWSL club, the Orlando Pride (May 20 and Sep 3). Meghan Klingenberg, Tobin Heath, Amandine Henry and the rest of Portland Thorns FC will visit Houston on July 16. The Dash will close the season against Hope Solo and Seattle Reign FC on Sep. 25.
